Mid-summer

Whoops, it’s been awhile.

What a whirlwind this summer has been–in just July, I finished up my job in NOTO, visited family on a week long and started at my new job. Plus I’ve been teaching myself some illustration basics on Procreate and falling back in love with hand embroidery. I’ve been keeping myself busy, to say the least.

I’ve been pushing myself to shoot with my uncle’s D500 more as well. Using that 80-200mm on a crop is making me realize how much I learn towards a wider angle. It’s been a challenge, but I’m definitely learning why this camera is so highly regarded.

In addition to being so busy, it’s been so hot that we haven’t been getting out much past the backyard –even walks at sunset have to be kept short, so we’re eagerly looking forward to fall while we find every shootable angle of the yard.
