Downtown Pre-Tree Lighting

Spent one evening of our never-ending Thanksgiving vacation checking out the new ice skating rink and big Christmas tree here in downtown Topeka. We were a day early for the official tree-lighting ceremony so Alfie had to provide his own sparkle. I’ve been spending most of my vacation holed up doing some organization of the photo archives, practicing some more ad designs and getting the studio cleaned up after a particularly messy experiment (cloud fuzz EVERYWHERE — results questionable!), so it was nice to get out on the town for awhile.

But now that I’ve got some good organizational structure set up, I’m ready to buckle down and catch up on some personal editing big time. I also pulled the trigger on the TopazLabs software over Black Friday (if you can’t tell–these pictures have been my first time playing with the plug ins and I’m still in that overdoing-it-to-make-sure-it-works mode) and I’ve got some old dog show photos that could definitely use a good denoise treatment.

I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner.. hopefully, I’ll get a few more posts up before 2023!
