My intentions this morning were to shoot the sunrise at the Old Stone Church in Maple Hill — one of our favorite locations — instead we were diverted by a train accident. I wasn’t going to waste a sunrise, and it turns out it was the perfect morning to check out the creek we had to drive over to get to the cemetery. I just pulled over onto the gravel shoulder and we headed down the bank. Not sure we were technically “allowed” to be there, but we got to spend the whole morning poking around. I can hardly believe it was the day before Christmas Eve and it was warm enough for this.
