This is only a handful of the peony photos I’ve gotten so far this year. My home bouquets are getting fresh cuts & ice every 12 hours, and I’ve already visited three different gardens for photos.

This particular batch is from the always beautiful Ward Meade Botanical Gardens here in Topeka — they have a small peony garden that blows me away every year.. I feel like a big storm bashed them up pretty bad last year, so I wasn’t able to get anything this impressive.

A lot of these are shot with my uncle’s D500 and I’m having a good time working with some of his longer zoom lenses. Plus the 16mm I have for this camera is great for these beauties.
